Editorial Principles

Editorial Principles

Content published on mealzo.store is created by the Mealzo team. Our aim is to provide clear, practical and reliable information about food, meal planning and nutrition. We also want to be transparent about how our articles are created and where the nutritional data we present comes from.

How Our Content Is Created

Articles are prepared by the Mealzo team with consultations from dietitians, nutrition specialists, personal trainers and other experts, depending on the subject of each article. These consultations help us develop the content, organise information and take the appropriate nutritional and practical context into account.

We do not attribute articles to specific experts when they are not the individual authors. We also do not publish the names of consulted specialists. This approach to authorship reflects the actual process used to create our content without assigning individual responsibility for material prepared by the wider team.

Nutritional Information

Information about the nutritional values of our meals comes from the Mealzo production database. Recipes specify the weights of individual ingredients, and nutritional values are calculated for each portion variant.

These data refer to the recipes and meal variants recorded in our system. Values for similar dishes prepared elsewhere may differ depending on the ingredients, their quantities, preparation method and portion size.

What Our Content Is and Is Not

The Mealzo blog contains general information about food, meal planning, nutritional values and healthy eating, including topics related to everyday life in Bangkok. The content is intended to be informational and educational.

Content published by Mealzo is not individual medical advice, dietary advice or a treatment plan. It should not replace consultation with a doctor, dietitian or another qualified healthcare professional.

If you have a medical condition, food allergy or intolerance, an eating disorder, specific dietary needs, or follow a diet recommended for health reasons, consult an appropriate professional before making significant changes to your diet.

Languages and Translations

Mealzo content is originally created in English and is then translated and adapted into seven additional languages: Thai, Polish, German, French, Russian, Chinese and Burmese. In total, our content is available in eight languages.

Translations and adaptations are prepared by professional translators, taking into account the characteristics of each language and the local context. The purpose of adaptation is to preserve the meaning of the material while making its wording and context appropriate for readers of each language.

Some commonly used international terms, such as “keto” and “low carb”, are deliberately kept in English.

If you notice a factual error, unclear wording or a translation error, please contact us at contact@mealzo.store.

Publication and Update Dates

The publication and update dates shown with articles are the actual dates recorded in our system. We do not use artificial publication dates to present older material as new.

Articles may be updated when relevant information, facts or recommendations related to their subject change. An update date means that the content has been changed or supplemented in our system. It does not mean that every piece of information in the article has been independently reviewed again by a doctor or nutrition specialist.

The Blog and Mealzo Services

The blog is part of the Mealzo service. Articles may contain links to our meal plans, packages or calorie calculator when they are relevant to the subject being discussed.

These links allow readers to access related features and information available on the service. The blog is part of Mealzo and may contain information about our own services.

Third Party Content

We do not publish paid third party articles or sponsored editorial content. Materials published on the blog are created as part of the Mealzo service and are not presented as independent opinions from parties that have paid for publication.

Corrections and Contact

We aim to keep our published information clear, current and as accurate as possible. If you believe an article contains incorrect information, an outdated fact or a translation error, please contact us at contact@mealzo.store.

We can review reported issues and, where appropriate, correct or update the relevant content.
